Robert Allen Zimmerman or Bob Dylan was born May, 24 1941. Quite the renaissance man its been recorded that not only is Bob Dylan a singer/songwriter, but also an author, poet, and even a painter. His lyrics and work had a commanding presence in the music world for almost 50 years though most of his best work was done in the 60’s and 70’s.

Never being part of the mainstream but rather trying to lead it he headed up the change of the norm of pop music to the Anti war tunes that defined the 70s.

He has played the full range of music from folk, blues, country, gospel, rock and roll, rockabilly, jazz, and swing.

Always backed by a changing line up of musicians he has not only one countless awards around the world but even maintains his career with his most recent album “Modern Times,” released in 2006.
